The Blues returned from the international break with a controlled 2–0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor, courtesy of goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernández.
The win stretched Chelsea’s unbeaten run to five matches in all competitions and kept them firmly in the Premier League title race.
“We’re confident, we’re doing well” said after the match.
He added, “Of course, we can do many things better, but winning today was important. We’re confident for Tuesday’s game.”
Barcelona Return to Stamford Bridge for the First Time Since 2018
Chelsea now shifts attention to their most difficult test since returning to Europe’s elite competition.
Barcelona, who have been in red-hot form with 14 goals in their last four matches, travel to Stamford Bridge for the first time in six years.
Under Hansi Flick, the La Liga champions are led by emerging superstar Lamine Yamal and arrive as one of the tournament favourites. But Maresca is unfazed by the challenge.
“We’re ready,” he said. “We know the level of the opponent, but we also know how well we’re playing.”
Chelsea will be without star midfielder Cole Palmer, who suffered a toe injury in an accident at home.
The 21-year-old is expected to be out for at least three weeks, ruling him out of both the Barcelona clash and the upcoming showdown against Arsenal.
