The Nigerian currency, the naira, appreciated further against the American dollar at the official window on Tuesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,446.31/$1, as against the N1,453.84/$1 it traded on Monday.
This represents a gain of N7.53 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The naira lost N5 against the American greenback to trade at N1,470/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,465/$1.
The local currency closed flat against the British Pound to trade at N1,925/£1.
It also closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,250/CA$1.
The naira, however, lost N5 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,685/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of ₦1,680/€1.
