Chukwueze helps Fulham beat Spurs as late Man City winner denies Leeds


Super Eagles trio of Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were all in action for Fulham as they rallied to beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.

The game played at Spurs saw Chukwueze bag an assist in the fourth minute of the game as Fulham got on the lead through Kenny Tete.

Harry Wilson doubled their lead just two minutes later, with the visitors staying on top throughout the first half.

Spurs pulled one back on the hour mark but could not find an equaliser as Fulham held on to take all three points home.

Earlier in the day, Manchester City pulled of a surprise turnaround as they scored an injury-time winner to beat Leeds United 3-2.

It was Phil Foden who scored the late goal to deny Leeds a point from the game at the Etihad Stadium.

In another five-goal thriller in the league, Sunderland came from two goals down against Bournemouth to win 3-2. It was an incredible comeback victory.

In the other Premier League games, Everton were thrashed 4-1 by visiting Newcastle United, while Brentford defeated Burnley 3-1.
