‘Church Boys Are Not Asking Us Out’ — Woman’s Dating Lament Triggers Online Debate (Video)

A young woman has stirred widespread conversation on social media after candidly sharing her frustrations about dating as a devout church member during a sermon that has since gone viral.
Speaking before her pastor and the congregation, the lady said women in the church are often taught to be reserved and not pursue romantic interests, instead waiting for men to make the first move. However, she expressed concern that many men within the church are not stepping forward, leaving several women anxious as the years go by.

According to her, the situation has become increasingly troubling as age and time begin to weigh heavily on single women who are committed to their faith.

“We are told to wait for the man because we are not supposed to go after a man. But now we are getting older, and time is no longer on our side,” she said.

She drew a contrast between men in the church and those outside it, observing that men who are not churchgoers tend to be more confident in expressing romantic interest, even at a young age.

The woman noted that it is not unusual for a man in his early twenties to boldly approach her outside the church, an experience she said is rare among male church members.

While stressing her commitment to her faith, she admitted that attracting non-church men presents its own challenge, as many are difficult to introduce to church life.

“We love God and we are spiritual, but it’s hard to bring these men to church, and at the same time, the church guys are not coming forward,” she added.

She concluded by appealing to her pastor for guidance on how the issue could be addressed, particularly as most of the men showing interest are not spiritually inclined.

Her remarks have since ignited lively discussions online, with many women saying they relate to her experience, while others debated how faith, relationships and modern dating expectations can be balanced.
