Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has broken his silence following the death of his close associate and mentor, Allwell Ademola, who reportedly died from a heart attack on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Recall that the actress’ sudden passing sparked an outpouring of concern from fans and colleagues, many of whom flooded Salami’s social media pages to check on his well-being.
In an emotional post shared on Instagram, Salami admitted that he is not in a good state of mind and appealed to the public not to attempt consoling him whenever they see him.
“Please, when you see me, don’t try to console me. Because I will break down. I still can’t say farewell, Shuga Boo. All is not well at the moment,” he wrote.
The actor revealed that days of grief have taken a heavy toll on him, noting that even hours of tears have not eased the pain of the loss.
“Seventy-two hours of endless tears still can’t bring back my Shuga Boo. But for the sake of our family, friends, and fans who showed up in prayers, calls, posts, and most especially for my children, who will draw strength from me as we learn to move on without our Allwell Ademola, I promise to stand strong,” Salami added.
He also expressed gratitude to those who have reached out with messages, calls, and voice notes, explaining that he is currently too emotionally weak to respond.
“To everyone who has genuinely reached out to me with love and concern for my state of mind and well-being, I see all. I’m just too weak to read, listen, respond, or even find the words to express how I really feel right now,” he said.
