President Bola Tinubu on Saturday morning revealed that a joint operation by Nigeria and United States forces has led to the elimination of a senior ISIS leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok.
The president in a statement early in the day stated that the overnight operation was “a significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism”.
He stated that “our determined Nigerian Armed Forces, working closely with the Armed Forces of the United States, conducted a daring joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to the ranks of the Islamic State.
