Rapper and social activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called for the resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as kidnappings, bandit attacks, and killings continue to surge across the country.
Falz made the declaration in a strongly worded post on his X account on Wednesday morning, expressing deep frustration at the government’s handling of national security. According to him, the administration has repeatedly shown a lack of urgency, empathy, and capacity to confront the escalating crisis.
‘‘You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. RESIGN NOW!’’ Falz wrote.

The artiste condemned what he described as “relentless and senseless bloodshed,” citing widespread kidnappings, brutal killings in rural communities, and rising urban crime that has left many citizens living in fear. He argued that the President has failed in his constitutional duty to protect lives and property.
‘‘How many more people have to be kidnapped and murdered in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you wish to erase with your incompetence and inaction? @officialABAT,’’ Falz wrote in another post.
His comments quickly went viral, sparking intense debates across social media. While many Nigerians applauded him for speaking boldly, others questioned whether calling for the president’s resignation was the most productive approach to addressing the crisis.
