Man arrested attempting to board international flight at Melbourne airport charged with murdering woman | Victoria

A man has faced court accused of murder after he was arrested while trying to board an overseas flight.

Allan Keys, 67, was arrested at Melbourne International Airport on Friday afternoon before he stepped on to the overseas-bound plane, Victoria police said.

He was charged with one count of murder after the discovery of a missing woman’s body in Little River, 44km south-west of Melbourne, on Saturday.

The 53-year-old woman from Dandenong was reported missing on Thursday after she did not contact her family as expected, with police deeming the circumstances suspicious.

He is next due to come before the court on 10 August.
