DefComm Unveils ‘Fail-Safe’ Secure Comms Tech; Enters Pilot Phase with Nigerian Military

Following its deployment on AEGIS-X, XSHIELD-DICON’s Light tactical vehicles, defence-tech startup DefComm has announced a major milestone in its roadmap: the official pilot testing of its proprietary Secure Communication Device by the Nigerian Ministry of Defence. DefComm has engaged with the Honorable Minister of Defence in Abuja to advance Nigeria’s secure military communication capabilities, presenting its flagship Secure Communication Device, entering a symbolic pilot phase with the Nigerian military.

The high-level meeting focused on Operationalizing Sovereign Cyber Capabilities & Fail-Safe Retrieval Systems for modern network-centric warfare. DefComm showcased a portfolio of defence-grade technologies, including hardened secure mobile devices, tactical encrypted platforms, and resilient systems engineered to counter interception, signal intelligence threats, and cyber intrusions.

This engagement builds on DefComm’s recent milestone: the successful inaugural edition of the African Defense Conference – Operation Iron Shield.

The conference positioned Nigeria as a hub for defence technology collaboration. DefComm’s Command and Control systems are already deployed on Xshield-DICON vehicles, proving the reliability of its indigenous solutions in operational settings.
